Valentine’s Day Look Book 2015

It’s the week of Valentine’s Day and in honor of this year’s ode to Saint Valentine, I have prepared my Valentine’s Day Look Book 2015 to help inspire your date night ensemble.

Valentine’s Day takes place on February 14 for most of the world. While it is traditionally used as an excuse for going out on dates and showering your significant others and crushes with fluffy, tasty, and heart-shaped gifts, many of the modern, hard-working, single ladies use this day as a reason to celebrate their closest girlfriends. And part of what makes this day one to remember, is the female’s ensemble.

The color palette for Valentine’s Day looks is traditionally filled with pinks and reds, and usually decorated with symbolic hearts. Here are my twists on the perfect Valentine’s Day looks for every possible scenario:

An Ode to the City of Love, Paris | Valentine’s Day Look Book 2015

Paris is arguably the most romantic city in the world. While I cannot afford to take all my girls on an international excursion, I let them experience the wonders of France vicariously through me by making Paris’ beloved Eiffel Tower the focal point of this look. It’s a casual, sporty outfit that’s perfect for a dinner date with your best friend.

Red & Lace | Valentine’s Day Look Book 2015

Dresses are not meant for everyone, so for the less dress-inclined, take an everyday look, add a dash of Valentine’s Day color (in this case, red!) and coordinate your accessories so that the look transitions from just another day on the town to a special Valentine’s Day date. Bonus: This necklace even has a little heart on it!

Roses are Red, but Violets are Blue | Valentine’s Day Look Book 2015

No one said that your look has to incorporate red or pink; in fact with my red hair, I am more likely to incorporate a different color into my look so as to avoid a color clash. This dress is flirty and fun! Using bold, pigmented eyeshadow, I skipped the eyeliner and let my lashes do the talking.
