Valentine’s Day 2016: Look Book

Valentine’s Day 2016:  wardrobe decisions can be daunting, especially when you have a special someone to impress. For those casually enjoying the holiday, the colors will inspire you. As a single girl, I played with the festive colors all week!

Valentine’s Day 2016: Look 1

Urban Punch

Valentines-Day-2016-1
Look 1 of  this Valentine’s week is a casual one. With the cold winter chill, the goal was to stay warm. I opted for a gray hoodie with the word “Dope” on it. The red graphic allowed my red nails and a red lipstick to pop and pay tribute to St. Valentine.

The casual day resulted in simple hair, BB Cream, and hoop earrings; no fuss.

Anti-Valentine

While the pink and red explosion is nice, I wanted to have some fun with an Anti-Valentine’s Look for those single girls who cannot stand the holiday.

Valentines-Day-2016-5

All black and rigid, my H&M jacket was the beginning. I cheated with red glitter shoes, but I think the jewelry and make-up portray the emotion quite well.

Valentines-Day-2016-6

The jewelry includes studded, spike earrings and an ear cuff. Make-up for this look includes a dramatic cat eye and nude, matte lipstick. A bit of blush and bronzer add dimension to the face.

Valentine’s Day 2016: Look 3

Coffee Date

Is it corny to wear a shirt that matches a situation or location? My outfit comprises of a tee that states, “Ok, But Coffee First.” I’m single and love coffee, my day even included a trip to Starbucks.

Valentines-Day-2016-8

I styled the white tee with a warm ruby cardigan.

Maintaining the coffee shop vibe, I french-braided my hair and created an approachable and flawless look with a pigmented ruby lipstick and black eyeliner.

Night Out

I hit the New York City night scene in this ensemble. The maroon, cotton dress was comfortable and long-sleeved, perfect for the arctic chill.

Valentines-Day-2016-9

My necklace is a statement piece I was gifted from England. I kept the earrings small and had fun when I blowdried my hair with a slim, round brush.

Of course, sticking to the theme, maroon lipstick it was. (Rimmel London Provocalips in “Kiss Me You Fool”)

Galentine’s Day

Galentine’s Day is for all the female’s to go out and celebrate their greatest friendships. I chose to rock my favorite lipstick: Stila’s Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in “Como;” I love purple.

Valentines-Day-2016-11

My dress is purple with a black lace overlay. Black tights and booties acknowledge the terrible cold weather.

I created tight curls for this outfit and the whole look is flirty and fun.

Hope you’ve been inspired to use holidays as excuses for themed outfits. Stay Stiletto Sharp!
