Look Book: Rajé Shwari’s ‘Get Your Life’ Music Video

Rajé Shwari started her career as Timbaland’s protégé as she hit international fame with “Indian Flute.” Now she’s taking all she is and all she’s learned to launch her label and solo career; Rajé proudly presents her single “Get Your Life” on Bollyhood Records. The dance song could have resulted in a rave music video, instead Rajé uses it as a fashion platform and brought us one lush look after another!

Look 1: Sapphire Queen
Regarded as the Queen of Bollyhood, it is only natural Rajé be seen in this character. She dons a rich blue sari and adopts a Belly Dancing beaded bra for this outfit. Instead of a crown, Rajé dons a sculptural double bun with incredible height. Accessories include a blue bindi, Indian gold cuff, a few assorted bangles, solid gold knuckle ring, a traditional gold Indian necklace, and costume diamond shaped earrings. On a table the accessories may look crazy, but Rajé carries it all in one conducive look. For her make-up, Rajé has a nude lip and cat eye keeping all focus on the incredible fashion pairings.

Look 2: Tight and Pink
In this tight and pink look, Rajé Shwari shows off her assets without revealing too much. She takes studded tights/leggings and pairs then with a loose cowl neck shirt in hot pink. Rounding out the outfit with a black bra and pink studded belt, the look is effortless. Rajé’s hair is in long loose curls, she has a couple bangles on her arm, a signature bindi on her forehead, hoop earrings, and a few chunky rings to finish this ensemble. Rajé’s comfort in the outfit is apparent and this “understated” look is one of my favorites!

Look 3: Mirrors and Sequins
This sheer dress covered in rhinestones in all the right places has been worn time and time again. Most recently, Priyanka Chopra wore the nude and silver version in her “Exotic” music video and Miley Cryus is in a multicolor stone version on the December edition of Cosmopolitan Magazine. That being said, this dress fits the staging and lyrics in the second verse to perfection. These scenes are shot to bring all the attention to Rajé’s face and the surrounding mirrors; therefore, the dress is not the highlight. Silver glitter on the inside of Rajé Shwari’s eye and her sleek, straight hair present us to this artist in yet another unique look. The large flower ring would be the only thing I would get rid of here. It’s to whimsical for the icy and sharp mirror vibe; stacked studded bands or a blinged out silver ring would have been better options.

Look 4: Silk Cargo Superstar
Performing in a room full of fans, Rajé slips into khaki green silk pants, a black bustier, and sexy metallic heels. The accessories are all on the metallic route as Rajé Shwari’s arms are full of gold bangles. She also wears chunky gold hoops and a gold chain link necklace. Smoky eyes and long lashes stand-up to the weight of the jewelry and you can see the Hip-Hop influences in this look.

Look 5: Hot Pink Body Suit
WHen Rajé Shwari is seen with her dancers, it’s a neon treat. She’s in a pink body suit, color blocked bangles, color blocked heels, a turquoise geometric triangle necklace, and multicolor slim hoops. The colorful explosion is kept uncomplicated with a tight side braid and nude lips. I love these shoes!

Look 6: Feathers and Bling
Last, but not least, is the look that ties the whole video together – the black feather dress with iridescent stones. The dress is perfectly structured and is a statement piece. In styling the look, Rajé has perfectly placed curls, few bejeweled bangles, and earrings that pull out all the colors of studded dress. The shoes are black and have a tassle, I wish there was a close-up of them. Another great piece in this look is Rajé Shwari’s black and gold knuckle ring. I think every girl wants this look, head to toe…I know I do!
