Fashion Recap: 2014 Grammy Awards

The Grammy Awards are known for the grand live performances and elaborate costumes. The fun all starts on the red carpet. Here’s a look at some of the memorable looks this year.

Black and White:

Paula Patton is fierce in her sequined zebra print dress, but Ariana Grande is a bore in that Dolce and Gabbana dress; she looks like she’s off to a tea party.

Ladies in Black:

We have to address Madonna and her Ralph Lauren suit – I love it, Madonna is a fashion icon and I like that she stood out from all the ladies. Cyndi Lauper does Alexander McQueen proud. The short dress with the cape is edgy and a perfect fit for the pop icon. Kelly Osbourne looked nice, but it’s her perfectly dyed and cut hair that steals the show.

Blue and Sophisticated:

Blue and elegant go hand in hand for this year’s Grammys. In act all these blue looks are more like Oscar gowns. While everyone is styled well, Alicia Keys’ dress is not flattering at all.

Gold and Glitzy:

Do you know who Chrissy Teigen is? Our first lady in this pack is a model and John Legend’s wife. She was one of the most talked about beauties this year for her perfect figure, sun-kissed sun, and sequined gown. Ciara was glowing with her baby bump, the raunchy star kept it classy in Emilio Pucci. Rita Ora is pure swag in her short ensemble! Taylor Swift (in Gucci) and Amber Rose (in Naeem Khan) round out in hits.

Nude Attitude:

This color did these ladies no justice. Skyler Grey’s laser cut leather number was edgy but hard to read on her skin tone while the other two artists look like they are prom queen ready.

Red Carpet Red:

Va Va Voom! Red was the right choice for everyone. Miranda Lambert shows off her trimmed down body in a bold color so no one misses her. Pink surprised me with her choice and love the perfectly fitted Johanna Johansson dress. Tamar Braxton and Colbie Callat keep it classic in these silhouettes.

Winter White:

Beyoncé impressed everyone with her sheer Michael Costello number. Paris Hilton flaunted her curves as the latest signing to Cash Money Records, she missed the mark in my opinion. Sara Bareilles  (in Bluemarine) and Katy Perry (in Valentino) chose whimsy earning them mixed reviews.

Stiletto Sharp Hits: Rita Ora and P!nk
